While following a guide to install System Menu NUS v449 with Wad Manager, I accidentally selected uninstall.

When i first modded my wii, i was 100% careful about what i did. like i checked over steps 3 times. because i wondered what my parents would do if i broke it. each time i do something dangerous to my wii, my heart is always like thumping so hard. its always a relief to see the channels screen

I think you confused ME with HIM.

I didn't get to installing preloader. It does flash twice after power-up. But nothing icpmattj asked me to do worked.

i guess that means bootmii is only installed as an IOS.

you can call Nintendo now 1-800-255-3700

edit: you have boot2 installed, there is definite hope.
find a compatible sd card

but if it flashes twice doesnt it mean its boot2? cuz i have it as an IOS and there are no flashes when i power up.

If it flashes you have boot2, and your Wii can thus be fixed. It's probably just your SDHC-card that's not compatible. I have a no name SDHC-card that works with bootmii/IOS from HBC, but not when going through boot2. So:
[*]Get an old SD (non SDHC) card that is guaranteed to work.[*]Put the cBoot2 binaries on it.[*]Pop a system menu WAD with Wadmanager.[*]EPIC WIN!

it could also mean that his sd card is not compatible...
You beat me to it. =)

Anyway, from bootmii.org/faq:QUOTEI installed BootMii/boot2, but it doesn't come up when I boot my Wii.

Try booting with no SD card inserted. If you see a brief set of flashes from the blue slot LED right after you hit the power button, try a different SD card. Make sure you have a directory named "bootmii" with the "armboot.bin" and "ppcboot.elf" files inside.

If you do not see those flashes, BootMii/boot2 is not installed.

UPDATE!

Scrambled for another card and bingo, Wad Manager V1.4 comes up! Now what should I do? Also, the wiimote doesn't sync, do I proceed with a GC control?

I've been trying to help him through aim and email.Nothing has worked so far but i'm guessing its the sd card compatibility issue like everyone else is suggesting.I do have one question for anyone else though.Could it be the bootmii.ini file in the bootmii folder?I mean because he said he deleted the system menu but the bootmii.ini file has it set to boot the systemmenu.Could that be causing an issue?I had him change it to boot to HBC instead but it seemed to make no difference.

Just wanted to see what other people thought about this.

Wiimote doesn't sync because deleting the system menu killed setting.txt. So yeah, you'll have to find a Wad Manager that works with GCN controllers.

I managed to restore my NAND. Hope this helps others new to the Wii scene like myself. Be very careful, NEVER give up. HUGE thanks to ICPMATTJ. This guy deserves MR. HELPFUL trophy

Posts like this are completely counterproductive and pointless. And Preloader isn't really a solution (wishful thinking really) because there's some nasty things you can do to brick your Wii and Preloader won't be able to save you.

Ultimate advice? Don't go around deleting and screwing with stuff people! AnyTitle Deleter and WAD Manager shouldn't be used by n00bs, period.

how was my post "completely counterproductive and pointless" yet at the begining of the thread users were slating him for uninstalling the sysmenu and i dont even mention preloader at all, all i was stating like the post above me was he was lucky to have BootMii as boot2 and that users like me CANT due to boot2v4
