Hopefully that green checkmark is going to be alluring enough for devs to want to provide Deck-specific settings.

Well basically all that's required for the checkmark is full controller support and support for 720p/800p resolution scaling. Shouldn't be too difficult for devs that don't already have that stuff implemented.

Would be great if they added presets for both controls and graphics. We're all used to tinkering with settings, but now that the hardware is standardised there could be options for quality/performance just like consoles.

Yeah presets for the controller will likely be available in every game by default thanks to SteamInput, graphics presets specifically for Steam Deck are less likely though. In general it seems like medium will be the go-to for 30 FPS, low for 60 FPS.
