Hacking Decent firmware for R4i?

Hey, I keep getting the "load rom errcode= 4" and more on my R4i Card (v 1.41), and I'm sick of it. Half the games I put on wont work.
Anyway, any recommended firmware for it? I could go buy a better card, but I'm not at liberty to. A

http://www.r4i-gold.com/ is where I bought it, I don't think it's popular, but any suggestions? I'm rather stuck and have found little compatible firmware for the card.

I did exactly that, but sadly I got the "Menu?" error, in which I believe means that the firmware is not compatible.
