Hacking DeadSkullzJr's NDS(i) Cheat Databases

Hello everyone, a small status update on the project.

I have decided to split my optimal update into two phases, and the reason being is because there is too much ground to cover in regards to the cheat databases as a whole (I don't want to take forever to get an update out). Unfortunately due to the bumpy history that the databases faced, a lot of clean up is required in order to provide a much better experience for everyone. While this seems like a lot of work, it's well worth it at the end of the day, and so far I am satisfied with my progress on the matter. I still don't have a set date of release for the update, however it's definitely coming, I am just doing quite a bit of testing on the refinements, new content, etc. that I have made for the new update.

2.5.0 is going to be the start of a better future, and I will be happy when the day comes when it's ready for release. More information will be provided as time goes on.

Some codes have button combination requirements in order to activate them.

AC:WW: Would anyone happen to know the button requirement to activate the cheat group titled “don’t ENTER BEDROOM WHEN ACT...”? I’m assuming the button combos are at the end of that title but I’m new to this and can barely figure anything out even after reading this forum front to back lol. Thanks!

I moved the instructions into the cheat descriptions (the appropriate place) for a few of the cheat lists. Depending on what you use (Wood R4, TWiLightMenu, etc.), press Y on the cheat to see the description.

Set the option "Heap Shrink" to "Hi". Hopefully that helps. Also I should warn you, not all codes are compatible with NDS-bootstrap due to a bug regarding the bootstrap, it's already a known issue and is being worked on.

Drastic is screwing up and not reading some of the cheats. Trying to play Renegade Platinum and no cheats pop up. Any idea what's going on? I even used R4CCE to set the ID.

The 2.4.0 update contains cheats for 1.3.0 of Renegade Platinum, if you changed the identifier already and it's still broken, then that means R4CCE corrupted the database a bit. Sadly this is one of the reasons I recommend AGAINST using the software given it breaks stuff so easily. I've had my fair share with the software breaking stuff, it's annoying.

It didn't work before that. Just tried a fresh download and still nothing. I am playing using 1.3.0 too.

Starting to sound like more of an issue with your method that's running the cheats, I tested the codes once again and they work perfectly on my end. The fact cheats stopped working for a title that it used to work on before sounds concerning.

I'm using Drastic and did nothing to change anything. I stopped playing DS emulation for awhile until I came back and stopped. Seems to be patched games suddenly being a problem when they weren't before.

No, these cheats are dedicated to the Nintendo DS titles, Citra is a Nintendo 3DS emulator and only supports cheats for Nintendo 3DS titles. Sorry man.

Codes for the vanilla version exists, but I do not currently have cheats for any sort of translations for this title as of yet. If you could provide a link to the translation patch, that would be helpful.
