CycloDS Evolution Firmware v1.57 has been released and is available for download from the support page. Changes in this release include:

* Fixed 'date modified' file issue, allowing last played file view to function properly
* Fix for CAS:POR (credit to yellow wood goblin)
* Resolved a RTC related bug which should fix issues involving real-time events in some games
* Added 24-hour clock setting to config.xml
* Fixed NOR bugs with 3in1+
* Game compatibility fixes (DSi 0025 wifi, 4252, 4340, 4510, 4644, 4646, 4663, 4666, 4702, 4708)

(Quick search, saw no other topics about this)

So final is released eh..?

well better pop the hecker in... Is the good old "Bandwidth limit exceeded" in place or can I just grab from the site normally?

Tomorrow we will see EDGE OS 1.8

You know, I really thought they would wait until after the next batch of games released today/tomorrow to cover them before releasing a final.

TC has really been on the ball the last couple weeks.

They DID say that they were going to shorten the beta cycles between final releases. So far, they are holding themselves to that statement and you gotta give them credit for that.

Castlevania Portrait of Ruin? After all these years they actually made a fix for the game running on lower performance SD cards? Awesome!

CycloDS sucks. They can't even figure out how to read more than 100 files in a folder.

Really? That's your button?

I appreciate the fast firmware updates, but I feel that Team Cyclops really needs to work on future-proofing the Cyclo. So many recent releases haven't been able to work right off the bat, which is sad because this cart used to be able to play any release while others waited for patches, and quite honestly that was the main reason why I got this flash cart in the first place.

I don't think you can make any cart "future-proof" to new anti-piracy measures, simply because there are no way to tell what anti-piracy measures game companies will use next. (Which is why I think the Stealth Mode thing was a waste of time, just look at how many new releases actually work with it. Hell even some old releases don't work with Stealth mode.) The reasons games used to work right off the bat with the Cyclo DS compared to other carts was mostly due to games companies not putting in anti-piracy at all, or the anti-piracy was not designed to target the CycloDS specifically (remember the Moogle of Death?).

I'd rather they work on adding new features and just fix the game compatibility as the games come out.

Well, stealth mode wasn't designed to be used on older games that are already compatible.
