CycloDS Evolution firmware v1.12 released

Bug fixes galore!

cyclods.gif
Team Cyclops have released another update to the CycloDS Evolution firmware. This brings the card up to version 1.12. This version mostly fixes some bugs and speeds up the autobooting feature.
As always, download locally right here at GBAtemp below...
Team Cyclops said:
  * Fixed a problem which prevented homebrew software from writing to the MicroSD card

  * Improved the compatibility with Slot 2 devices

  * Fixed a problem which made a few games hang with a white screen

  * Pressing 'B' in the cheat code list now returns you to the game list

  * Improved the speed of the "autoload" and "auto-boot to slot 2" features (now the CycloDS Evolution GUI is not displayed at all when either of these features is activated)

Hopefully the next firmware update will include new features and bug fixes too if any.

Team Cyclops are very responsive to the new ideas on their forums, this is very refreshing.

such as which games? I'd like to test it if you know of any..
edit: and well, you cant really blame em for not having realtime save/load (i know you're not, but i'm just saying in general

) since it wasn't even a promised release.

Hey shaunj, when is your review coming out? God download play tests are annoying to conduct...
I don't know. I've already done extensive testing, just need to write the review but with all these new firmwares coming out, and then the promise of new features, it's making it difficult to time a review.

yeah I agree, especially when new features are out when you just wrote the review

how's the general game compatiblity though? for PoR and THDJ, is it better than R4? I wish someone would put a compatibility list like scorpei's

Someone tell me a reason why I should wait for the M3 Real instead of ordering this right now.

Downhill Jam slows down on the Evo?

As for PoR, it damn well better play fine on the Evo with a 1GB Kingston (J) card. The real test is if it works without freezing on a slow 2GB microSD card.

Because you like waiting more than you like playing video games.

That's so false. I like bitching about videogames more than waiting and playing combined.

I'll wait until Monday, but I'm pretty convinced this is the definitive flashcart to replace my EZ4.

Why would you want to replace the EZ4. Keep it as a slot 2, it has the best GBA game compatibility I have seen.

be weary people, it may look good now, but a few months down the line their "support" could disappear, that's what i am waiting for to see if they really have good support....

and the fact that their flash cart don't support action replay xml files is a bummer too.
