i know horrible themes too ...thinks that some/most of the themes i make (shown on this forum/in 3dsthem.es) are Low quality... plus if they know a good theme, why don't they make one themself?
Your themes ARE pretty horrible ._.
All of the colors you pick for all of your buttons are either really hard on the eyes, or have no semblance of coherence. Rather than themes, it's more like you are picking two images that you think are ok, and then RNG'ing the colors.
Example: Your Legend of Zelda theme uses 4 completely different colors, following no normal pattern that would make any of those colors pleasing to see together without some major effort. This isn't even taking into account that the accent colors used for the arrow icons, text, etc. are also completely different and match next to nothing.
I've looked at some of his comments and yours.
Ex: Steven Universe theme (aka probably the least offending theme you have)
soundtoxin: "The audio quality seems a bit lacking but otherwise the images and song are very nice."
^ This right here? This is a legitimate comment. The pictures themselves are decent, and for once the colors aren't completely atrocious (except for those fucking yellow overlay buttons). I listened to the bgm as well and there is definitely a quality drop in your theme versus the actual video on youtube. It sounds muffled. Perhaps you are using Yata+ and not manually converting songs, or maybe you can't hear how muffled it sounds because it sounds "aight" to you.
Ex: Osomatsu-san theme
soundtoxin: The images and audio are kind of low quality, but I appreciate that someone is making an Osomatsu-san theme.
^ This still isn't really offending sounding now is it? The audio is still muffled. The images themselves...I'd let pass since they look like they were screenshot from an anime frame (aka, they really aren't that great).
As I said, it isn't making a theme that people need to know in order to judge good or bad themes. Maybe he doesn't want to fucking make themes because he is a goddam perfectionist and wants the whole shebang with custom everything like me, but doesn't have the time to put in 3-4 days to make shit look right, sound right, and feel right.
What I have gleamed from looking at the comments on 3dsthem.es is that you are feeling persecuted because your work isn't making someone completely happy. He is simply telling you that the audio quality is IN FACT muffled, which it is (this isn't even talking about on the 3ds yet, this is apparent on the 3dsthem.es preview) and that sometimes your pictures that you are picking are fuzzy and not crisp pictures like the sort you would find in some really wonderful fanart.
I think the site should have a verification system by deleting user accounts that do not have not even posted a custom theme on the site. User relations really think before complaining he should try to make a custom theme first to see if easy to do the SFX, folders and edges.
No, the site really shouldn't. Criticisms and critiques from just a gated community for stuff shared to the world is a poor idea. You get better themes by taking into account how users feel, how you think they would enjoy parts of your theme, and being open to objectively looking at what flaws they may point out.
Yes, it is hard to do SFX, folders, w/e. Yes, doing this shit makes you pretty fiercely biased towards your own themes being pretty fucking great. That doesn't mean that other people need to do it themselves to be able to see when a themer goes that extra mile to give those tidbits and appreciate them. If someone tells me that some of my sfx are fucking loud as shit and some are a goddam whisper (and hell, maybe even tells me which sound effects), I don't tell them to fuck off and make their own theme. You take their thoughts into consideration, maybe give your theme a re-evaluation and see for yourself if those sfx levels should be tweaked.
