This actually made me recall a thread that a themer used to have on ndsthemes.com and so I thought I would try it too and keep a tally on myself for how much wasted effort I put in.

Very interesting this topic. Adopts literally all the ideas that a person has to have when creating a custom theme.

I when I do a custom theme literally I do a combination of follows first the top picture and below must match.
Then I'm looking for a song that is compatible with the theme. And finally I SFX files based on the theme.

It was really cool that your themes, because after you finish them, you don't create a themes in package file .CIA ?
I think if you put songs remixed by Sonic would give a major highlight in your themes.

i know horrible themes too but this joker thinks that some/most of the themes i make (shown on this forum/in 3dsthem.es) are Low quality.. i don't even know why this person has a account on 3ds them.es if they do not make themes. plus if they know a good theme, why don't they make one themself? HMMMMM?!

I don't think your themes are horrible but they could definitely be vastly improved. Not to say I don't make any mistakes or flaws when I make any. I suck with folders.
Firstly you should pay attention to your colour choice, pick colours that contrast nicely with the image and/or text. make sure to use high-quality images, resizing them incorrectly makes them look ugly.

Question: does the name Soundtoxin sound familiar to ANYONE? cause they keep on being a critic about themes saying "quality is bad" or "sound is horrible" on 3dsthem.es i even looked at their profile and they havn't made a single theme. how would they know what a Good theme is? they don't even make them.https://3dsthem.es/?q=user:soundtoxin

That's good advice . Why I always do we have with pictures with 1024 pixels do I resize them to the exact size of the 3DS.

I know that I think you should overlook so many positive comments as negative in a positive way.

Please do suggest a different adjective to represent horrible if that is what you are so hung up on. Bad, insufficient, mediocre, sub-par, any negatively connotative word can actually work. Or would you rather have a passive aggressive reply like "Sure is nice that you theme REALLY bothers my eyes."

The point is,

You take their thoughts into consideration, maybe give your theme a re-evaluation and see for yourself if those...should be tweaked.

It's not about how many times you have tested it, "fixed" it, or shed your heart and soul into it. If you think your theme is at it's zenith after your many tries of repairing and tweaking, and it looks beautiful to you, then call it done. Tell people that give suggestions "Nah, I like where my theme is at, and I would like to keep it there" rather than taking a stick to the gut and saying "FUK U GUYS, I WORK SO HARD AND YOU CALL IT <Insert negatively connotative word here>". Nobody is going to tell you "No, you can't do that!" and sure as hell nobody else is going to grab your theme and "fix it" themselves (though...apparently some people do).

If you want to quit theming, gbatemp, 3dsthem.es, that is your own prerogative. Whether you want to leave decently with like "Well, I guess people don't really like my themes, I guess I'll quit making them" or be remembered as that one guy who took comments in from the wrong end and go out with a "NO! KNOW WHAT AM DONE WITH THIS SITE TOO <CAPSLOCK>! btw so i can get banned permanently: <CAPSLOCK>!!!!" is also just how you will have yourself displayed on the forum for the people to come. Whether you use your time to make objectively much better looking though content-wise, completely peculiar themes really doesn't bother me. If you were to leave gbatemp and 3dsthem.es, that doesn't bother me either. There is only two things I really care about when I visit this thread: I finished a theme, or a theme strikes my fancy.

And, whether you like it or not, my part in this discussion is over. I've got a theme I want to make.

Yes I will do a package of custom Themes that Anime. I'm going to put this project in front of the Darkstalkers Resurrection so that before I will finish and post the Shokugenki no Soma theme that is already being finalized.

Already beat you to the punch that the package of themes will have effects SFX and the sound of opening and closing applications will be the voice of the character of the image.

The sounds in SFX will vary according to the theme will hardly repeat the same sound effects customized themes following the package.

That in like the Pack of Themes of Hyrule Warriors I think will like this too.

I was able to draw more of the games as cwavs 1345 .cia de One Piece so the themes are going to be quite different from each other not only the songs like I said the SFX will be distinction.​
