Any chance someone could make some themes based on Suda 51's games? I would love a theme based on stuff like Killer7 and No More Heroes.

Or heck, even Madworld (yes I know this one isn't a Suda game, but still, 'dat style).

I work on a Madworld Theme. Later it will be online.

I found a pretty annoying problem with EveryFileExplorer's theme editor. I had already gone through and spent a lot of time in a hex editor changing the main theme colors (all of them), and I realized that EveryFileExplorer completely overwrites those parts of the theme with the default system colors. It slightly corrupts the themes too, and I had to go in and replace the header of my theme with the original header just to get it to load up. This is problematic, because throwing the theme into EFE and exporting it is the only way I can change the scroll type of either screen - if I change the scroll type to anything out-of-bounds from the image in the theme (going from no scroll to normal/slow scroll), the normal Theme Editor completely freaks out and just crashes, while EFE opens the modified scroll types just fine. That being said, I can change the colors of the theme all day long, but only if I don't change the scroll type either.

You may be thinking, "well, why not change the theme colors of the theme EFE exports?" Well, I'd love to, but each of the offsets to the RGB color blocks get replaced with either 0xFFFFFF or 0x000000, and those aren't valid offsets at all.

If anyone knows how I can change the scroll type without completely messing up the colors, your help is very much appreciated.

I want to edit the A Link Between Worlds theme, but I don't know where to find the latest tools and hex editor offsets. Also, I don't know such basic things as the exact resolution of the two background images I need to use, so that I can GIMP something together.

Since I want to use an ALBW song directly, I have an interesting task ahead of me. The .bcstm files from the game's ROMFS don't work with the theme system. Converting them to .wav then back loses quality and the exact position of the loop. Also, I think that the file would actually be too big. So I actually want to jerry-rig the raw compressed samples together. They're clearly the same format, since I can see the same pattern to the hex bytes in the main data stream after the headers.

Are there open-source tools for working with these .bcstm files?

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856

    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
