So CFG loader will not load (54b) using this with 57 base. i reverted back to 17 just to verify. usb loader gx works fine using 38 as base and 57 as base. maybe its just a beta issue with cfg? im too lazy to switch.

in response to does this load off my ntfs hdd...i can load games fine, what i want to know is will the loader run the game using 249rev17/18 or will it default to hermes? i set it to use 249 by default but i assume it changes automatically to hermes when the game is loaded.

is it just the loader that needs hermes to launch the game off ntfs?

I may of been critical of the past cIOS releases and their bugs, but I've got to take a moment and thank Waninkoko for his hard work and for stabilizing the last two cIOS versions. I'm quite impressed with the turnaround of the last few cIOS versions and it's definitely appreciated, so thanks again!

HOW COULD YOU BE CRITICAL OF WANINKOKO???

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I OWE THAT GUY??? I UPDATED TO 4.0E VIA HIS UPDATER and because of that i still had the trucha bug on IOS60 intact so that i could unbrick using the UUDv4. WANINKOKO IS A LEGEND!!!

! i thought that i was done with my wii because i bricked it without installing the trucha bug into IOS60 like most people recommend. I only realised that i had made a mistake AFTER MY BRICK

because of waninkokos updater I HAD IT INSTALLED BY DEFAULT AND I OWE MY LIFE TO THAT GUY

... i may have gone a bit too far with this post though

There's no need to shout nor overuse smileys. I was critical in hopes the criticism would be heard and something would be done, and it was. I wasn't the only one vocal about it, you know.

and yeah, your right! the last two revisions HAVE been awesome, the only thing not awesome about them was the incompatibility with neogamma

Vash, I think its been stated already but ios249 DOES NOT support ntfs, so you will have to use hermes.

Im also having problems installing any wads with wad manager, i tried the mod with facelift and it cant mount my sd card now, and GUI wad manager can read the sd card but get error ret= -106 when trying to install wads i know work fine, perhaps wad manager needs an update as well?

that happened to me when i was trying to install rev14 over rev 17...

looks like you have to downgrade with the cIOS downgrade tools available

i dont want to because i may run into a brick again, i dont want to go through with the emotional distress i had

EDIT: i am aware that cIOS downgrading has, like, a 99% chance of NOT bricking wii because the system menu doesnt really load it to work

, but system menu downgrading was dangerous, so I am not trying any funny business

I'll probably will make an IOS37-Version, dump it with BlueDump, and change the Slot to 250 with ShowMiiWads...then install the IOS57-Version, and then install the modified .wad...sounds like a good idea, huh
