This installs a modified version of IOS36, right? So the Wii still reads it as IOS36? When I insert Super Smash Brothers Brawl, it asks for an update (I'm on 4.0E) to install the missing IOS(s) needed to run the game. One of the IOS needed it IOS36. So if I accept the update, it will install all the new IOS(s) needed and possibly overwrite the current IOSs (that are needed to play the game). So won't it overwrite the modified version of IOS36 installed by this cIOS Rev12 and uninstall it?

No. First its IOS38. Second it takes IOS38 and patches it, then installs as IOS249.

rev12 not working with softchip

every game has #001 error

For some reason, network installation code dumps for me (maybe cos I am using a wired connection and I can't remember if that ever works !!!) so'll I'll have to look into creating the WAD.

NO WAD LINKS!
Get the wad with NUS downloader if you want, but don't share it here. It's easier that way anyway.

I have added the Installer link to the first post so that people can actually get the legal installer

Someone please mirror it here, my internet is deathly slow so I can't upload it lol.

Hi, has anybody tested with cioscorp v1, I tried rev 10 and it screwed it up, rev 9 works fine though.

first link doesn't work for me (the softmii one)
it says:

Im' Sorry, (my number), the site you requested /waninkoko/cIOS38_rev12-Installer.zip is being held in another castle!

ok, got it of the medifire link
will upload here if needed (if noone else is doing it now)

The NUS Downloader route is painless and everything seems to be working fine ... basic test for me is that Mario Kart no longer crashes within seconds of starting if I leave the LAN adaptor in.

Haven't been able to test mics via a USB Hub yet (as the kids are now dominating the TV !!!) but the HDD still needs to be plugged directly into USB slot.

Is someone uploading it to gbatemp download section?
If not, I'll upload it
my pack contains:
-changelog.es.txt and changelog.txt
-README.es.txt and README.txt
-icon.png (Lowline style)
-meta.xml
-cIOS38_rev12-Installer.dol

Installed rev12 via network and everything seems to be working fine a first glance.
I'm not sure about the loading times but IF they are slower, the difference isn't significant.

My little wish was to be able to use the microphone in GH Metallica (through USB drive) and now it works!

Thanks Wanikoko and all who participated in the development.

Is the correct CRC for IOS38-64-v3610.wad 0E9994D3

Also, why is the cIOS installer now using IOS38 for install instead of IOS36?

Not sure if anyone replied to this before but I've downloaded IOS38v3610 twice using NUS Downloader (just to be safe) and got the exact same checksum both times for the WAD so if you get a checksum of 0E9994D3 then I think you can be pretty sure the download is fine

cios rev 11.. is the most stable for me.. with iomega prestige 320gb harddrive

cios rev 12 does not even detect my hardrive..
