Hacking Custom IOS38 rev12 RELEASED!

There is no statement about cIOS rev12 on Wanin's blog, and it appears that the file is hosted by SoftMii. It's just like what happened with cIOS rev11.

I am doubtful about this release.

I have 2 drives...

No problem with 2,5" 160 Go Toshiba...
But 250 Go is having problem to be reconized... easier with coverflow RC4

Well, I think that Loader must be updated to use these new opportunities

the countdown for detecting goes into ultra slow mode...

my harddrive works well with rev9 and rev10 but with rev12 i got
problems... usbloadergx only checks the harddrive if i turn it on
at the countdown...

i dont know if waninkoko is reading this forum but i would like to help with testing if needed

I've now read through the whole Thread, but didn't found something...if this was already posted, thn I'm sorry and please link me to it....

Now....anyone got the "real" changes? So the ones Noobs like me can understand? I only recognized that de Blob and Metroid Prime now work without a disc, and that it takes a little longer to load...and i've heard that USB Instruments now works (WiiSpeak, Guitar, etc..)....is there anything more I've missed?

Hiberns loader and nullkills doesnt work anymore after isntalling this rev12. I have self owered usb drive and tried swapping cables with slot1 and 2

You don't need to know which port is 0 or 1. You just need to frankly, honestly, really tried both ports.

Found bugs:
Bug 1:
*(vu32*)0x80003184 = 0x80000000;
This is needed to get Sam & Max and FarCry to work. With this line of code in a loader and the rev12 cIOS used the result is:
1. With Sam & Max on disc, 001 error (you can veryfiy this with latest SoftChip and NeoGamma R2 against old SoftChip and Gamma)
2. With ALL games loaded from usb, "An error occured ..." (only usb loaders i did not release yet do that)

Bug 2:
With a sd card inserted with games on it, and trying to get the game that are on USB, you get the games that are on sd card. If it's tried to load these from usb then, it freezes(loading from sd works).
This does not happen if games on sd & usb are found, then both game lists are correct.

PS: ==> No release from me for anything before rev13

are you noob or what, HDD drive can be pluged only on usb0 coz if i put HDD into usb1 it wont read it

Yes SMG really "stutteres", rev 12 sucks! Slow games for an extra usb port, thats a real good trade off... I want my rev10 back!!

Can I just use the rev 10 installer and install over the rev 12 changes, or is that just to easy? Do I have to do something else? Thanks!

Heck if you have BootMii installed, backup your nand and screwed up, you can always restore it.
