Wow if this goes on like that the thread will be soon closed.

You guys requesting cIOSCORP v2 but dont really know what it is?
cIOSCORP is just a package with IOS files. These IOS Files just have removed the Trucha Bug (if needed) and diped with cIOS rev8 ( 0000001.app).
So you can just make it yourself (well it dont work that way with old IOS files but with some. How to do it with old one i dont know yet).

I never used cIOSCORP ad the first relase. I didnt know what it was but now i know it and i am happy about that,

And your requests are totally Off Topic.

001 error has nothing to do with Sam and Max problem right?

I guess you still have problems to load the game? With cioscorp it should work fine, but i can understand if you don't want to install it, in this case try this:
1. IOS Version patch the game to IOS249 or install a cIOS as IOS33
2. Get the game detected by the disc channel somehow, without preloader you only have to run the Gamma rebooter. How you get this with preloader and without a cIOS30, i don't know
3. Turn off your Wii! (I'm really serious)
4. Turn your Wii on again and play the game
5. Post your results here

Heh, your memory is good

Yeah, I guess I´m going to patch the game to IOS249, I don´t want to mess with other IOS to be honest. Thanks!

About cioscorp2:
Am i the only one here seeing that there might be an issue with the 001 error patching which results in the 001 error for some games with cioscorp2 while there aren't any problems for the same games with cioscorp1?

If you didn't patch the game to IOS249 before, you can skip step 3, i thought you already tried the normal method for the game. With IOS Version patching or IOS replacement and step 3 you should get the same results cioscorp users get, but without the need to install any cIOS30.

That is the menu patcher? The non-permanent one?

I don't understand. In order to play Sam & Max without a modchip you need to meet the following conditions:
1. The IOS requested by the game is a cIOS (that's why you should IOS Version patch it, or install cIOS33)
2. You need to start the game from the disc channel, how you get the game detected by the disc channel doesn't matter, the Gamma rebooter should do the job, as well as various menu patchers/rebooters.

Yea i've been seeing that to no clue has to why its happening, best thing to do is, when you run across one of those errors find the IOS the game uses, and install that IOS form the old version of the CIOSCORP, So yea you may have to mix the wads from the CIOSCORP and the CIOSCORPv2 to get the best results Depending on what games you play

Guess what ?? After booting via disc channel with hooks enabled and everything played just fine but I knew something and I want to test. Here:

I go ahead and try to do it again like an original games which have no problem so when I click Wii Menu or Reset (doesn't matter -- eiteher way) and click Yes. Now, go to DISC CHANNEL and click Start and I got the message: An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn the power off. Please read the Wii operations manual for more information.

Did you know about that ? It can be fixed? Thanks and good job!

I will send the links to the next 5 people who pm me - but that's all.

Please only install this is you know what it does - also, please read about the comments from WiiPower and Wiiblaster about the 001 errors, as there may be issues regarding that.

If needs be, replace the relevant CIOS that is causing the problem with the one from CIOSCORP v1.

SoftMii will not be adding the 2.0 pack to the package as we will be offering an alternative method rather than distributing the wad files.

Well good its about time someone added a alternative method Thanks

I was wondering when someone would do it, Just wondering, you dont have to answer, but is it going to be a PC APP or something ran straight from the Wii?

Something like a modified version of Waninkoko's IOS downgrader would be awesome. A program that would download each IOS file (or if you just select one, or a few), patch in the trucha-bug and dip module v8, and install.

So Waninkoko, if you read this: "Pretty please, with some sugar on top ..."

as for now this could be a good solution, but this might affect the whole multiboot loading from disc channel? isn't it? btw, couldn't it be that waninkoko made a mistake in the whole 001 patching method of the cios rev8?

hi guys first time poster, long time reader. I have a 1st gen modchip which does not support 001. So I installed this and I still got error 001. So i thought I might need to install cioscorp, which I installed version 1 of and now everytime I put Mario Kart or MLB in it asks for me to update. What can I do to get these games to play without error 001 or error 002

CIOSCORP is not the best solution for mod-chip users, But to block updates install starfall and enable block updates

So i have Custom IOS36 rev 08 installed and starfall installed and I still get error 001. Is there something special that I have to do besides installing those two things?

If you are referring to pressing b on the backup launcher to restart your wii with hooks, thats perfectly normal as its only a temporary patch that goes away when you go back to the wii menu or restart the wii. This is old stuff.
