Requesting to have your specific console back does absolutely nothing. There was an article about a guy who had his 360 signed by a bunch of developers at Bungie and the Microsoft Repair Center wiped off the signatures, because cleaning the consoles is procedure.
You have to consider that these repair centers are contracted by Nintendo and the employees are just being paid to follow procedure. They are third party distribution centers that handle refurbishing a lot of different electronics.
In fact, the number you're calling is a generic line that handles all of the repair centers. The most they're able to do is track the status of your repair, but have no specific knowledge of it.
