Not sure which forum this would fall into...

Now that B9S is a thing and we now have access to nearly the entire system. What would it take to fix the vc emulator for some of the games that require patching or hex editing?

I personally don't have the development prowess to do so myself which is why I am asking about this here.

I mean the gba hardware is there as like a final puzzle waiting to be solved on the homebrew side.

If I come off sounding like a total idiot, I apologize. It's just something that's been bugging me for a while lol.

Does this allow for large save files like the back half of the gen 3 Pokémon titles use?

Yes, it's been almost a year since it was discovered the 3ds support all gba save types, if i remember correctly people only needed to modify some values in the header.

GBA VC is virtualized, not emulated (unless you're thinking of the software emulation that's implemented in most NES/GBC VC titles, which probably nobody wants to use); and making any non-trivial change to agbfirm basically means writing the affected parts from scratch... and spending further effort to integrate them, all under not very well researched limitations

Thank you for the info, all I had been turning up lately was talking about hex editing the roms and some titles like that having truncated save files lol.
