I downloaded the homebrew game for DS called Crocadingus but its not working. I can go to the main menu but when I try to start playing the game it just freezes there. I tried DLDI patching and I am using an R4DS with the latest kernal (1.8). So does anyone know what the problem might be?

Works fine for me.

As far as I know all you need is the .nds file... that or you didn't load up the .lvl file on your card either.
You need both at the root of your card.

.lvl file? I don't recall getting that with my download. I'll look into that problem. Thanks for the help.

Well there ya go, that's the problem then, you don't have the crocadingus.lvl file on your flashcard.

You can get it from GBAtemp I believe... if not try to Google.

Glad I could help!

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
