It's January 17, 171=17/1 (although we don't do it that way in America, don't know about you non-Americans)
Well, first of all, I didn't even know about this one. That's just an eerie coincidence that Area 171 would be created on the 1st of January AKA 17/1. Or perhaps it's all an elaborately connected web.
here in australia we arrange the date like that but unfortunately thanks to time zones it was actualy the 18th when this forum area (or whatever it's called) was created.
