Could there be a big PC emulation market for Nintendo

Would never happen. I can think of 2 reasons why ..

1. The whole point of releasing a console is so that you can extract as much money as possible from the end user. Only compatible hardware / software works which generates more sales. You could play a emulator on PC using keyboard, mouse, PS4 or Xbox controller and Nintendo wouldn't want that.

2. The biggest reason for releasing a console is that all the hardware is the same. If they released an emulator for pc they would have to cater for lot's of different types of hardware. Not only that but many people don't keep drivers and things up to date, the amount of people who would buy this and then not be able to run it and need support from Nintendo would be huge.

Its a nice idea but it would never happen.

I think charging 100 dollars just for the emulator is an outrage. then 100 more dollars for each rom? The emulator plus two roms will cost as much as a console itself. RIPOFF

I don't have a Wii U, so forgive my ignorance, but do any games available right now absolutely REQUIRE the Gamepad?

Game & Wario requires both the GamePad and the TV screen. It's the first one that immediately comes to mind, but I'm sure there's others.

You need to calm down man if you want people to take you seriously. I did read the whole thread. I always do. There were posts suggesting that it wasn't possible to emulate with a PC and many posts about the screen positioning. I sited an example of a working PC Wii U emulator because it pertained to the conversation on screen positioning.

If you're going to make a thread where you straight up fantasize about something happening at one of the big game manufacturers then you need to be able to take all the crap that is coming your way. What I said wasn't even antagonistic. Smoke a bowl and breath, then post!

I am very calm, I just thought it was ironic.

I'm also of the mindset that digitally downloaded games should not be full disk retail price, but that's another discussion.

If Nintendo were to release an emulator of their system along with some games, how quick do you think it would take for it to end up on the Pirate's Bay to get for free? You'd essentially be getting a Wii U, brand new in the box, for nothing.

I never said that I thought that you said it was going to happen. In the first post of this thread, you say:

The problem is that there is no "what if". Your concept is simply something Nintendo would never think of and/or do.
