You have to copy the files inside the www folder onto your web server, not the www folder itself.

an index has to be in the root of your webserver if your not directly linking to /yourserver/www/
Ok as i had the same problem (zero experience with html) i try to help you with what i found out.
First of all you have to have a index.html data in your webserver.
As it seems i can´t upload my index.html i explain what you have to do.
You create a index.txt file.
Fill in something like this:

<head>
<title>Wii U Exploit Index</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="main.css" />
</head>
<body>
<div>
<table id="t">
<tr>
<td>Its something</td>
</tr>
</table>
<table>
<tr>
<td width="33%"><a href="../homebrew_Launcher/index.html">HBLauncher</a></td>
</tr>
</div>
</body>
</html>
This is not really nice or something, but it works!
Now you have to change the .txt to .html
Now copy this to your webserver (in my case it was not the www folder but the html folder).
Copy the Homebrew launcher data in the same folder as the index.html and you are good to go.

the www folder already contains an index all he has to do is take the files out of the folder and place them in the root of his public_html directory.. or use the link <my ip/domain >/www/index.html
