Converting a XCI to NSP for Mario Strikers

I've been trying to convert my xci copy of Mario strikers to convert into a NSP file format. I've setup 4NXCI with a keys.dat files from some youtube videos that I've seen showing how to set this up so the keys should be fine. However, when i try to convert the XCI of Mario strikers into a nsp it gives me the error about unknown meta type! are keys correct?

Why exactly do you need to convert a xci to nsp?

this is one of the few things with the switch that I know how to do. I had to get the keys from a website. I only do this with stuff I've bought considering I'm all digital, and what happened with the wii's eshop... I had no issues myself, but I did notice that it's use key revision 0C, so it's using the latest key or at least what I think is the latest.

Thank you it worked, I thought for some reason it wouldn't work since the game hasn't launched yet

Yeah, Goldleaf can not install XCI but you can use any of the follow programs
dbi (the best installer far now)
AtmoXL-Titel-Installer (my favorite)
AwooInstaller (a very good one)
NSAInstaller (the fastest)
TinWoo
or at last my less favorite Tinfoil I don't recommend you to use this.

and you don't need to get things complicated

Use DBI and enable MTP Responder then connect over usb then drop your XCI onto "MicroSD Install"

Yeah DBI is a powerfull tool, its very easy, so easy what my wife uses it (she is an accountant so no computer savant at all)

Yep using any of these homebrew. What you can't is run XCI directly, but you don't need it

If you wait one day, the eshop release should show up on the internet. The eshop release of this game comes out tomorrow. You won't have to convert it then.

You would need "prod.keys," not "keys.dat," to make the conversion work. I personally converted the XCI dump of the same game myself and it worked just fine with the right files in place, the "prod.keys" being a highlight.

Not sure if that's because of an updated version of 4NXCI, but I've always used "prod.keys" with mine.
