Hacking Contact issue 3ds xl + ds lite

My supercard dstwo i got from discoazul has a contact issue on my ds lite and 3ds xl but i read online that if i rub the plastic bit in, it will read. I did this and it works much more often than before. I also sometimes get "an error has occurred"

I want to know , if i return it and get another one, is it likely to also have a contact issue? i've read online that other ppl are having this problem too. Do all the recent models of supercard dstwo have this contact issue? if not, does anyone know a site that sells non contact issue dstwos?

Other than the contact issue, i have zero complaints, playing super mario world with the sparkly invincible and perma cape, contra 3, chrono trigger made me realise that modern gaming is sorely missing something fundamental but that's another topic in itself

I just ordered a pre-flashed supercard dstwo from modchipfactory and it works perfectly on my 3ds without the need of a firmware update. All i did was download the lastest eos and catsfc. My 3ds xl is ver. 7.1.0-15E.

The last supercard dstwo i bought from discoazul was defective, i emailed them and they offered to send me a replacement.
