Let me find the article I just read about 4 hours ago.

Okay, and now it has been changed. Apparently SONY announced it would be a PSP exclusive, without even talking to Square Enix.

haha, classic sony
I bet they're getting quite pissed off what with Square putting the next FF on 360 as well as PS3, and the DS gets the good portable games while the PSP has the poor ones, well I bet FF Tactics would be as good as the original though.

I heard that FF I & II are being released on PSP but they are ports of the GBA ones and are separate releases, anyone confirm this?

First of all there is no 2 card ds game it's fake as there would be no need for it anyway, and secondly FF4 already looks way better than the pixely FF3 though it seems someone got the hang of making decent 3d visuals without it looking like crap.

Psp that thing still exists?

Well I can't say I'm really excited about this. There are many other Square classics that deserve a 2nd chance, like for example LiveALive, Treasure Hunter G, Seiken Densetsu 3 and many more.

Seiken 3! seriously this is a game that needs to see a North American release. such a good game.

Well it looks like I will have to finish FF IV yet again. Lunar whale in 3D!

Hopefully this means that they're going in order for their remakes (GBA release wasn't really a remake like this), and that V, VI, and VII are right around the conrer.

yeah that makes sense. oh man I cant wait for a FFVI remake. Do you think they're gonna keep doing them for the DS? Or actually put some effort into them and put them on the next gen systems?

^Dude that right there is the retard statement of the day.

So placing the games on the DS takes placing NO EFFORT at all into the work by your logic. Sure go ahead and convince yourself of that, and when reality comes barking eventually try and listen.

They're taking 2D games and redoing them from the ground up in a 3D environment with improvements across the board, yet somehow that takes no effort. Mmmkay. SO what if they're not on the lame $400-600 hardware out there now? Do you really think S-E wants to put together a good team of like 20-50 people to re-tool an old game wasting those kinds of resources for just moderate profit? The DS is the perfect medium with the very cheap dev costs, small teams required to make the game, andthe lower cost to consumer pricing which leaves it greatly more open to higher sales.

But hey I guess you know better being someone on the inside maybe? >:]

Erm they do put quite a lot of effort into the DS remakes, its not like a straight port! They're adding some new missions, characters and that into the game. And then you've got the game testing and so on.
