Cheers for that, I guess its officially true.

EDIT: A couple of details are on IGN:
"Fully unveiled on the pages of the latest issue of Jump magazine, Final Fantasy IV makes the move to full 3D. We're not sure if it's necessarily using the exact same engine as that of FFIII, although the staff that developed FFIII are overseeing the FFIV conversion.

Square Enix has a few changes planned on top of the visual update. The game will feature new episodes, allowing players to get deeper acquainted with the storyline. Character designs have been completely redone for the title."

Cecil looks a little, I don't know.. lol.

I think there's no way you can fit FF7 on a cart, after you cut out the fmvs, (would you really want that afterall) you'd have to store a ton of models and animations, way more than are in FF3 for DS, it seems to me. But I would love to see it! They'd have to add a ton of new scenes to explain what the hell went on in the fmvs, and I really don't think SE is up for that much work.

However I'd like to see more games from them in the style of FF3ds, nice crappy 3D is fun. Something original would be nice.

Hopefully they tone down the difficulty a bit. FFIII required a bit more patience then I was able to give...

I'm not sure I get the point of remaking FFIV for the NDS when it was just remade for the GBA. FFIV was a good game and I actually just finished beating the GBA version not to long ago.

FFIV would look good with the FFIII graphics, but I doubt I'll be willing to play it again so soon.

The majority of FFIII's DS data is that huge intro FMV.

You're quite simply, inherently, and quintessentially incorrect in this matter.

Looks cool. I doubt anyone who has beaten 4 several times will pass up the chance to play this version, so it will sell well.

Also I have a feeling if it sells well that a 3d remake for 5 and 6 will follow. Makes sense to do them in order. Maximize the profits

I'm not crazy about the idea, but then I love sprites

Part of me still wishes FF3 had gotten the GBA 2D treatment that other pre-PSX FF's got.

If they are going to do another remake, I'd prefer it be of another FF that was already largely in 3D, such as 7.

sounds promising. ff3 looked good but the story was lame and really boring. at least ff4 had a better one, so yeah, let's hope for remakes ff4, and then 5,6 and 7 and 8... SE sure love milkin' that cow...
