And I've snooped around the forums and read to try defragging. I have, and defraggler (or that shell extension thing whose name i forget) says that my games are only one fragment now (which i assume is a single contiguous block) so... any ideas, anyone?

Using a WD 750GB external NTFS with ~100GB free.

ooh. now it says something more meaningful.
NTFS compression not supported!

So, I could get this working if I uncompress the file, or only the entire drive? It detects the games fine, though.

ADD: It also does not save the fact that I'm booting from a usb drive. This likes to add an extra 30 seconds to the load time, which sucks, but is bearable.

oggzee, since you're one of the few people working on configurable usb loader, i'm curious whether or not support for compressed ntfs is planned, since libntfs supports compressed ntfs. (I just checked Wiibrew, so feel free to correct me.)

No, it's not planned, it would be too slow.
