To my knowledge, nothing supports iOS 4.2.5.

Update (restore if you want, but I see no need for that in this case) to iOS 4.2.6 first, then try greenpois0n again.
If he's just jailbroken he won't have blobs for that. Everythings on iOS 4.3.1 now isn't it?

^ 4.3.1 isn't for the CDMA model.

Edit:
I jailbroke an iPod 2g MB on 4.2.1 with Greenpois0n, but Loader won'T show up (its files are there though, I could check since afc2add is installed automatically with Greenpois0n)

Edit 2:
I fixed it: I deleted the com.apple.mobile.installation.plist in /var/mobile/Library/Caches and rebooted

thanx, that worked

wanted to avoid that way since the download for 4.2.6 was 653MB or so and read online that gp supported 4.2.5
guess not

Love the new section.

D'awwww. Thanks.
If anybody deaserves the most credit here it's Dialexio. He put 110% into this.

(This post is referring to an April Fool's prank in 2011, in which I added a fake piracy tutorial.)

This is a bit late, but I suppose I should properly announce it. Or something.

I've updated the guide recently to bring a section that will undoubtedly be the most popular section ever: PIRACY! (Sorry for doing this unexpectedly, iFish. ;s)

Now, why the sudden policy change? iFish and I have come to the conclusion, based on the majority of this forum's community, that most of the guide's visitors are pirates. Odds are, after jailbreaking with this guide, you've been roaming the Internet, unable to find a sound, trustworthy piracy tutorial. The Internet is pretty scary, so you could easily wind up with a malware infestation from a bad Cydia repo; malware authors like to target pirates, after all. The new guide section will provide accessible, clean instructions to pirate to your heart's desire.

Now this guide can truly bear the word "Complete;" with the introduction of piracy, it's truly your single stop for all things jailbroken now!

I've performed a quick update for PwnageTool 4.3 and redsn0w 0.9.6rc9, which perform an untethered jailbreak on all devices (except the iPad 2) running iOS 4.3.1!

Please excuse any little goofs; I felt a bit rushed with this update (I'm also putting together the last bit of my project!). If anything needs fixing, I'll do it after school.

I can't reproduce this problem, sorry. (Though I've only tried the Mac version so far.)

The best I can suggest is make sure you're saving the IPSW to your computer, and double-check that you're browsing to the folder with the IPSW, but I'm certain that you're not looking in the wrong folder...

I went the the place downloaded the right firmware file for my ipod touch. Was about 410 mb.and when i look in the folder its only got weird files and i have checked using itunes and redsn0w and i cant find the ispw...so im just getting it from itunes right now and am gunna save it so i can try it that way...hope fully it works..

I jailbroke an iPhone 3gs with Redsn0w after updating it to 4.3.1, and Cydia crashes when I open it (and it has a white icon). I've tried rejailbreaking it, but it wouldn't fix the problem.
Any ideas?

Looks like the new redsn0w has lots of issues (on Windows?). :s Sorry for asking a stupid question, but have you tried restoring (to a custom IPSW) and attempting the jailbreak again?

On a side note, I've updated the guide for sn0wbreeze 2.5. ¥5 says you don't know what it includes. >_>

^ you owe me ¥5

, I've already used sn0wbreeze. Also, I've just jailbroken 3 devices with the latest Redsn0w for Windows, I only had problems with this iPhone 3gs.
Before reading your post, I had restored, and I kept getting an error (I think 1005), and kicking out of recovery with Tiny Umbrella didn't work. So now I'm making a custom ipsw.

Darn. Nothing for the iPhone 4 with CDMA on 4.3? Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

Unfortunately, it seems that way. In fact, the iPhone 4 CDMA model may not even see iOS 4.3.x, as there's no big new feature (besides SquirrelFish Extreme Nitro).

QUOTE(metamaster @ Apr 4 2011, 07:37 PM) It looks like a custom ipsw did the trick.
Good to hear things are working fine now.

Pro-Tip: If having issues with the new redsn0w at "Uploading Ramdisk" run it in Windows 95 compatility mode.

Wait. What exactly is CDMA? I have a iPhone 4, with AT&T running 4.3. Can I JB it? Or do I have to wait?
