This translation is already dead, yet another menu only translation so you wont really be able to understand it.

On the note of what Raika said, there's no point going around these translation threads and booing them because they're not complete. These translations take a long time. It's not just a matter of first being able to edit all the text (which takes a long time alone), but testing out any bugs and months of beta testing if you want it to be a good translation.

Not to mention that you're not even a translator as far as I know, so I wouldn't go pissing on people's parades when you can't even throw a parade yourself. I'll say this time and time again, fan translations are a privilege, so be lucky there are some. And a lot of people only do menu translations because that's all they need.

You need to look at it again, it hasnt been updated for 6 months AND theres been no work on the script. Nothing I said is false.

Just because it hasn't been updated for 6 months doesn't mean its dead. Where the hell did you get that idea from? Unless the author himself announces that this translation is dead, there is still a possibility that he's still working on it. Nothing you said is valid.

In my opinion for a game such as this the dialogue is needed because the story is a big part of the experience.

Actually some of the script is translated. Download the latest patch and see for yourself. Or if you even decided to look at the main page, there's images with TRANSLATED SCRIPT. He said he "can't say much about the script" because he doesn't know how much he's done.

Just because he doesn't update every goddamn month doesn't mean it's dead. Absolute Zero hasn't released a single patch for their on-going, full translations. Some people give in-progress patches frequently, some not-so-frequently, some not at all.

Well.... in the case of absolute zero, there are updates to the blog every month to let the people know whats going on. Its even going to be released late january/february according to the site. Everyone should be excited for that one, the SECOND full ds translation besides soma bringer.

...Why do you keep going back to saying "It's the first full translation". Does anyone care if something is 97.93% (which is what Soma Bringer is apparently) complete and 100% complete? You're being such a goddamn critic of this crap. Odds are Absolute Zero won't even have it 100% complete due to things that they can't really help. I'm sure then when they say it's "99% complete" you'll be criticizing them too. You're not the king of translations. I doubt you even could do a translation (if you can, then sorry). So stop criticizing what people are doing in their free time to better the community. It's like a homeless man complaining because you only dropped a buck in their cup; they should just shut up and be lucky they got something.

I was talking about a 100% EVERYTHING done translation in the last topic. Here I was talking about soma bringer, being a complete translation... to me theres a difference. Complete meaning you can play it all the way through and whether or not there are untranslated strings makes no difference to getting through the story. 100% meaning everything is translated. I wasnt going back on what I said before......
