Hacking Classic Controllers and Gamepads

Are there any mods known to allow you to use a Classic Controller as a Gamepad for games that don't require the touchscreen?

Try using HIDtoVPAD perhaps? [Connect it via USB to Wii U and test it?]
Also Classic Controller pairs with Wiimote right?

Yup, Classic Controller plugs into a Wii Remote.

So, what you're trying to achieve is playing a game with Wii Classic controller, but in a game where it's not supported?
I haven't seen a solution yet, but I imagine it would be problematic, because Wii Classic Controller has no stick buttons.
