Try renaming memchunkhax2.3dsx to boot.3dsx and auto launch it. First try I got DEADCAFE.
...Your profile picture somewhat fits your comment dude...
Anyone confirm this works please? So I give it a shot.

99% Deadcafe on N3DS 10.3

  • Use menuhax
  • Open FTP-3DS
  • Close it with L+R+Down+B
  • Open menuhax
  • It should display deadcafe

If this is it, that would make sense. When I replaced my boot.3dsx with memchunkhax over FTP, I quit and got DEADCAFE. So yeah, try this!

I have tried installing browser hax on my 3ds. With the boot.3dsx (smeas not mashers) It always crashes when I scan the qr code to go to the site. some times I get like error 003 but idk what the reboot error is since i can't read Japanese :(

Soo you gotta do it with FPT... sadly my o3DS hates ftp (Could never communicate with her), the new 3ds is a different story but I don't know how valid that method is...

Confirmed.

It seems like force-closing something with L+R+Down+B sets up the memory in a way that the hax can run consistently. @Steveice10
I tested it on N3DS 10.3 menuehax and opened/force-closed FTBrony.

@Mrrraou Perhaps "oversight" is better than "side effect"?" It only happens because they map the memchunk as part of testing it's validity and then read from the next pointer of that mapped memchunk after. That's why giving it a good memchunk to map and then changing it in that small amount of time works. Isn't the fix just for the memory mapper to check if the next pointer is in a valid location before using it as the pointer of the memchunk? Some promise that it's not been altered has to be there. If I'm missing information I'd like to know. This is interesting stuff, but the 3DS scene isn't my forte.

Fine I'll give it a try with my new 3ds... (Knowing my luck I'm sure it won't work ¬.¬)

Well, to note I did it over FTP so when I quit out of the FTP app I got it.
Finally its working with this!
Old 3DS (non XL) , 9.9E:
"Setting up...
Mapping pages for overwrite...
Overwrite complete.
Map complete.
Restored kernel memory.
Cleaning up...
Test value: DEADCAFE
Press START to exit."
