but when I try to launch them, I got a white loading screen, and... nothing more.
If I try to run gba_bios, I got the Nintendo logo, and nothing more.

some possible solutions:
a) sometimes its the bios, maybe another will help (I used one from emuparadise on n3ds)
b) i had a problem with emerald german version, but english version started fine. Do you have game_config in the root of the sd?
c) are you using new 3ds or o3ds? apparently changing the boot launcher for o3ds could help (earlier posts mentioned something about that)

But gameplay is still slower than the videos shinyquagsire showed :( in the videos it was playable, I guess it has to be optimized for tubeHax or I have to change the bios.

Here's some tips.

1. If you are going to be using this program, I recommend using the alternate boot file that I think was linked here a while ago. It may help if you have red screen of death problems. At least that is what happened with me.

2. Some compatibility stuff:

Puyo Puyo Fever - Playable, little laggy, but playable.

Payback - Freezes near loading, possibly due to AVI compression in the intro. Even if it gone to gameplay it definitely would not be playable. It is a full 3D game.

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance - Kinda playable, pretty laggy, audio is butchered.

(Old 3DS)

Will try Wing Commander: Prophecy in a minute.

I've been scrolling through this for a little while now, trying to just kinda check for updates. I can't run anything at any kind of speed on my Old 3DS, which I imagine is normal, as it needs to be developed still. (I get maybe 4FPS and stuttering audio in anything; damn shame, as I wanted to play Megaman Battle Network on the toilet like old times. :P)

I see a lot of people having trouble getting it to work on the Old 3DS, so I'm going to do all of you a favor and upload the correct files for everything. New 3DS, you're on your own still.

All Old 3DS/2DS users. Delete what's on your SD and replace it with this. This should have everything working, including a working copy of this and a working copy of blargSNES.

Hi I actually got it running on my old 3ds with tubehax and the uploaded boot. Most games seem really sluggish but it seems like WWE Road to Wrestlemania X8 runs pretty well. It some sound issues, a little lag and the pause menu goes all blue, but it's the most playable I've tried.

Here's some stuff I came up with when testing games I wish interested in playing on this emulator.

NHL Hits 2003 - You don't have to delude yourself into thinking that this is playable. While there is stuttering, you do have enough control to where you can get a few goals.

NHL 2002 - Froze the emulator? This is new.

Wing Commander Prophecy - Running yourself through a cheese grater is more fun and acceptable with the kind of frame rate going on with emulating this game.

(Old 3DS)

this software needs frame skip options !
.. it acts like ios's gba4ios app when u turn down frame skip to like 1 on a crappy 512 ram device (my mini -_-)
ok testing this with the same gba games I use on my mini and Gba4iOS no jailbreak ...
I am running this on a old 3DS XL

Mario Kart Advance- runs tad frame skippy.. sound is skippy as well
Mario Party advance- runs tad frame skippy.. sound is skippy as well
Petz - Hamsterz Life 2- this one is much slower but again runs tad frame skippy.. sound is skippy as well
Rpgmaker (english patched)- boots white screen needed to force close 3ds
Sims busting out- some odd graphics starting up but otherwise runs tad frame skippy.. sound is skippy as well
Sims 2- this one boots blue full screen required a force close of the 3ds 0.0
Sims 2 - Pets- this one boots blue full screen as well and also required a force close of the 3ds 0.0
Urbz - sims in the city- lol wow this one also boots blue full screen and yup required a force close of the 3ds 0.0

now to my knowledge I can't find a settings option like gameyob o.o and this is running in interpret mode and theres no frame skip option YOU NEED THIS O.O also needs jit ...i think thats what its called ...

Just want to mention:
Old 3DS 9.9.0-26U + Tubehax = Red Screen

New 3DS 9.9.0-26U + Ironhax = Working... well... aside from the slowness (Rhythm Tengoku), and some games froze the system (Mother 3).
guys, I found the problem with all of us with an Old N3DS, here is the link, you can download the file that @DutchyDutch posted, CitrAGB and GameYOB should work, them works for me! apparently is a problem with Hombre Launcher 2.1 and Old Systems, but with the Hombre Launcher 2.0 everything works!! ;)

I already posted a working file set. This will give you a working citrAGB and blargSNES.

-snip-
Uhh, might want to remove all the ROMs and other copyrighted software. It's against the rules to redistribute ROMs and other copyrighted material like BIOSs (not sure if that's the opensource one or not).

Just copied the boot.3dsx from your archive over and now CitrAGB works (although not that well (at least with ALTTP), haha). Didn't know the file can be used with Ironhax as well.

Like I said, if everything gets copied correctly it all works. :P

GBA Emu running well is a different story.

GBA Emu running well is a different story.

I just downloaded and copied it all over myself, and the GBA emu runs unbearably slow, to the point where I can't even play any of the ROMs I have.
I'm going off of my day 1 old 3DS on tubehax, as well.

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)

    run h2testw on it
