From what i see on the boards it seems rev12 is more trouble than its worth

What are the real benefits?

i updated and i don't see any difference.. i don't play any games that use usb port so..
my games used to work fine with cios 10 and they still do work fine with cios 12, so i don't see or feel any difference at all.

the only compelling argument i can find is that this one is 2 better than the first!

other than that people are confused because only 1 usb port works for hdds now which is dumb

LOL what a discussion....

well, as for me I don't face any problems with rev12.
The fact that cios comes with access for HDD and accsesoires port.
so this cios also fixes the mic/keyboard in animal crossing.
Also it got fixes in the EHCI driver.

I would wish for more compatibility... Make "old" games like mk, red steel work correctly...

i would say use the newest release...
But, decide yourself.

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
