ROM Hack CIA Install failed but card still had space taken.

So basically, I was attempting a remote install of a game when it failed at like 2/2.48. Annoying, the error desc said "Unknown." Alright, no biggie. But then I checked the FBI sd card free space it shows on the top left and it hadn't increased back to what it should've been before the remote install. I know FBI preallocates data cause when I install a CIA it lessens the data before its done. Is this some residue leftover from the failed install? Do I need to find its ticket or something? The game was Bravely Second - End Layer if that matters.
