ROM Hack Chrono Trigger Patch

Hi everyone,

Im sure this is not the first time this topic has been started, in fact, Ive read other topics on this very issue... however... they are very confusing... and have not enabled me to patch the game thus being stuck forever in the time vortex between the millenial fair and 600 AD.

Could someone please:

1) Either put up a link to the necessary patch, or cheat program needed to sort out the issue.

2) Explain what needs to be done to said patch or cheat file to get it working...

Ive read this link (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=118540) but it isnt light reading... and doesnt make much sense.

3) I have an R4 (2nd generation) chip if that helps answer the question, and want the game to work on my UK DS. If I need to redownload the rom, perhaps someone can point me in the right direction?

The more info section on the right of the page shows you how to patch CT... Hope this helps anyone else who has the same problem with their R4.

But Here Is How You Patch The Game:

First one is for R4/M3 Simply & clones
Second one is for M3 Real/Sakura (there are save issues which are still discussed in gbatemp.net.. try updating to latest firmware)
Third one was intended for CycloDS/EDGE and other flashcards that get a white screen when applying any other patch.

!!CYCLODS FIRMWARE GOT A NEW UPDATE SO CYCLO USERS DONT NEED ANY PATCH, JUST GET tHE LATEST FIRMWARE!!

Instructions:
1. Unpack the patcher
2. Place rom in same folder as patcher
3. Rename rom to chrono.nds
4. Run the patch(to run, right click - open - a new window will open and click patch
5.There should be some new files and if chrono-patched.nds is not there right click the file called "patch"(witch should be a MS-DOS Batch File) and open and then the chrono-patched.nds file should be there. Try it a couple times till it works because i used it and the first time i got two blank screens but i tried it a few times and it worked (i have an R4)
6. Copy the generated chrono-patched.nds to your flashcard. Filesize should be ~ about 84 megs (it has to be in the 80s range). If you didn't pay attention to steps 2 and 3 though, it will be a 0 byte file...
6. Transfer & enjoy!
