Switch was stuck on Nintendo logo. goes into hekate fine, loads ubuntu fine, I decided to downgrade it and see if I could get past the Nintendo logo. I get stuck @ step 11 transferring SYSTEM. When I mount system it shows on my computer but when I attempt to access it I get an error. I'm assuming this is the reason it's stuck at the Nintendo logo. I was able to get all the backups & dumps. Is there a way to reformat & start from scratch, or repair just the system when it isn't accessible?

Do you have a sysMMC backup from before the problem started? Do you have an emuMMC?

I don't have a backup from before the problem. I tried creating an emummc but it's just creating it with the bad partition

After you fix this, for future reference you should use Daybreak instead of Choi for downgrading. It's much, much more safer.

Try following this sysMMC rebuild guide instead:
https://suchmememanyskill.github.io/guides/unbrick/

Next time, make a sysMMC backup like you're supposed to.
I received the unit in the condition it is in. I know better than to tinker without a backup:ha::ha:

Can I use that to help fix the bad partition? Or is it just for downgrading?

Daybreak is only for updating or downgrading a functioning sysMMC or emuMMC.

Can I download the correct firmware file and place it where my dumped firmware should be?

Made it through the whole process and it is loading to the switch logo screen now. Any common problems there?

Are you saying it's stuck at the Switch logo? Is the SD card FAT32? Are you booting using Hekate?
Please be specific.

Sorry. Yes it stuck at the switch logo. sd card is exfat. I'm booting atmosphere like the guide said to do. Thanks for your help btw

yeah I factory reset it. no help. I tried going back to choidujour but SYSTEM is still reading corrupt.

What's interesting is that before it was hanging on the Nintendo logo and now it makes it through the Switch logo and errors after that.
