Hacking Cheat to allow PSP 1000 to play Toukiden Kiwami multiplayer?

A friend and I want to play Tokiden Kiwami multiplayer, but the game won't allow him because he has a PSP 1000 (and I own a 3000), I know there was a cheat for the original Toukiden but it didn't work (maybe because he didn't have and updated .ISO), is there a cheat for kiwami to do that?

And sorry if this isn't the correct place to post it.
