Hi all! i just got my New 3DS. I want to buy games from the eshop but if i set my region to Cyprus (where i live) i cannot acces the eshop. i get a message that says that it is not available for my region. So i changed the region to UK (England) and it let me access it. Downloaded the latest update, installed it and all work fine.

My question for you is: Will i be able to buy games even though i'm not located in the UK? Will everything work as it should? What about creating a NNID account? i read somewhere that the NNID locks your console to the spesific region you set it up to and then cannot change it.

thanks in advance for any help you provide!!!

Most likely, you're never asked for an address anyway (and if they do... click somewhere in google maps, lol) -- there would be VERY little market for imported consoles otherwise I suspect!

Correct, it locks the country for everything but mii plaza (eshop will send you to account settings, which will complain and give up), at least between 2 countries with online services...

That game asked you plenty of questions to make sure you was an adult, but it could be an effective anti-piracy check.

Before that, you used to go to a library to find a big heavy book with every history and other related questions. Would've took hours just to mesmerize them.

Companies, stop using materializm and plain looking designs. Go back two decades from now and start bringing back retro.

@K3Nv3, here in Melbourne, what was empty land has now turned into shopping centres. Do you know if the land is gonna get used?
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
