Hacking CFW PS3

Can anyone help here please? My son has just come downstairs in tears as he's downloaded cfw on to a memory stick and put it on to his PS3 which has now gone into a strange mode and he can't go online. He clearly didn't know what he was doing or what he was using (he's only 11) he thought it would help him with his games, despite me telling him not to download anything on to it!!!! I've told him to leave it until I can get some help to sort it out - any ideas would really be appreciated, many thanks

it says it's gone into demonstration mode 4.46???

Codes for demo mode 4.46 are either 0000 or 9015
On the PS3 scroll over to settings and where it says Security Settings Hold down L1 + R1 + Select + Square and enter in either of those codes
