CD Projekt Red goes on a deep dive to debut 15 minutes of new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay

    One of the most hotly anticipated games, Cyberpunk 2077, just got a sizable trailer, showing off some never before seen gameplay footage. The 15-minute video goes on a "deep dive", which helps give you an idea of the different ways you can play the game and tackle missions. New characters, dialogue options, factions, and Keanu Reeves all get some spotlight here. You'll be able to see the open-world RPG of Cyberpunk 2077 for yourself, when it launches on April 16, 2020, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

    Also worth noting that a while back, the devs said that there won't be binary gender options. You just select a "body type" and "voice type", kind of like Saints Row IV.

    This game looks good and all, but I don't see the hype.

    I mean, do people need any more reason to be hyped other than it looks great and is being developed by the people who made one of the best (if not THE best) RPGs of the last decade? An open-world game with branching storylines, in which all your choices matter, and starring Keanu Reeves in a key role. What's not to love?

    1: The company is shit and treats its developers like shit
    2: witcher is is vastly overrated and is no where near "greatest rpg of last decade" lol always funny to see witcher fanboys talk nonsense.
    3: the game looks like another generic COD shooter with rpg elements.
    4: the developer caters to the 1% with their non gender fluid astra helicopter gender bender shit.

    Enough reasons for me to steer clear of this excuse of a game.

    Care to give any examples?

    Yet you didn't name anything better. Bethesda has had a hard fall from grace and hasn't produced anything near the level of TW3 lately. I love From Software games, but they're not really open-world, almost a different breed of RPG entirely. I also loved Divinity: Original Sin 1&2, but they're in a different category as well.

    I mean sure, if you're being reductionist, that's what Fallout and Deus Ex are too.

    I get the feeling this is what really has you triggered and the rest of your bullet points were made up to justify your irrational hatred of people who aren't exactly like you.

    Drinking leftist tears...Yummy!
    If I can't choose to be a stocky, pale skinned, deep voiced male with pigtails that wears a muumuu, I will be so triggered and not buy this game. Shame on the developers for not letting us design our characters based on the way we feel. /s

    I can't believe people just can't enjoy a game the way developers want to make it. I really hope the "no gender" option was their choice and not pressure from folks that will not buy the game, regardless.

    Otherwise, I look forward to picking this up and hope the hype is valid and not just because of Keanu.

    I actually haven't played any of the Witcher franchise (it looks good, but too time consuming for me as I'm more of a completionist/stat capping for games)
    I'm gonna pick it up I'm just not expecting anything crazy, maybe an 8/10 for me personally. Popular games like the Fallout Series, Divinity Games, Fighters, and so on don't hit me like other people usually

    The best of the modern Fallout games for me was New Vegas, and that was made by Obsidian. I'd prefer if they went back to the old style of FO1&2 though. Divinity hasn't ever been wildly popular, more of a niche appeal, but the Original Sin games are very much top tier among modern cRPGs. Can't talk RPGs without giving an honorable mention to Undertale, of course, where storyline and soundtrack take center stage.

    I own Fallout 3 and New Vegas I just haven't played them much. Got through the tutorial of 3 twice and then had some issues with games for windows live or something too
    then I got to the overworld and got bored walking around the barren lands

    I enjoyed Witcher 2/3 but I feel that they were over-hyped and this game is no different. Based on what I've seen, I just don't feel the need to play this on release.

    I just thought that it was worth noting as that news sort of blew up and got a lot of people triggered. ;o;

    But like I said, you'll still be able to be a "male" or "female", it's just that the customization won't be as straightforward as choosing out of two options. After you select the body type and voice type, apparently you can also select your "preferred pronoun" lol. I'm just the bearer of news. ;o;

    I just don't really care whether it's male or female, or no gender customization. It's appealing/catering to everyone, and that's pretty cool. Not interested in the game though, even though I love the cyberpunk style.

    Y'know, I actually have an additional positive example for CD Projekt Red. They priced Cyberpunk at $30 in my third world steam region country. :D
