It would be a safe bet many people have played one of the 2d castlevania games in recent years on either the GBA or the DS but this is a 3d castlevania game (still action adventure unlike some other spinoffs) and a reboot of the series at that. There have been other 3d adventure games in the franchise although in not in recent years (Castlevania: Curse of Darkness some 5 years ago being the last one).
Several reviews have been published with nice things to say about the game, we have had a couple of action adventure type games this year (although not so many to come). Certainly a must for fans of the genre, fans of the series and the curious but whether it will turn the halo crowd in another direction remains to be seen.

All I can say is I'm very disappointed with it, I feel let down. The game doesn't suck or anything but it's just an "ok" game was expecting much more. I would buy something else if I was you.

I have finished the game now and it does start out quite slow but give it chance and it gets really good.
Disc 2 is better than 1, the graphics and scenery are excellent. I haven't done much back tracking yet so still have a ton of replay value.
If you haven't finished it thegame07 stick it out man it gets awesome.
