For some reason, I can't get it to work. I click the option to do it, then it ask for admin permission and I say okay and nothing happens. Anyone have ideas? I'm almost tempted to find some other program to do it for me. :ninja:

Yes it has happened to me a lot of times.

If a restart won't fix it, then I just connect to the internet to scan stuff.

Also, there's two kinds of scans, I don't know why Complete Scans needs internet now. So I think you're attempting to do a full scan, no?

I did do a full scan, no issues. Offline scans says supposed to be more efficient than the full scan, because it runs at boot time unlike the other scans. But it won't ever start.

Do a system restore prior to when you had this issue start.

i had this problem too iirc just reboot the pc manually and the offline scan should come up

and if it doesnt work you could always check windows for integrity errors :

- start console/shell with administrator privileges

- then type in " sfc /scannow " without those "

- wait till its finished then reboot and try if the "offline scan" will work
