Nevermind, I was wrong.

I think the problem was that Luma 3DS Updater (not star updater) was downloading the dev release and not the regular. Thats how I got it.

The "Use developer UNITINFO" patch is available in regular Luma3DS as well, so you shouldn't actually need the Dev version of Luma. The Dev version of Luma is simply a more up to date and less stable version with the latest changes (which can sometimes be untested), hence it can be broken sometimes.

I was basing that statement on this: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/compare/master...AuroraWright:developer
Judging by that it does seem like the "Use Developer UNITINFO" option is available in the main branch, however I just checked and it's not showing up in the Luma version I have, so I stand corrected.
