Hacking Can't get Health & Safety to launch FBI

Hi,

I'm trying to install A9LH (+Luma) with Plailects guide.

I'm stuck on part 4 at point 28: "Launch the Health and Safety Application (which is now FBI) on RedNAND".

The Health and Safety App is just that for me, it doesn't launch FBI, only the normal H&S.

My Emunand is on the latest version.

I did everything as told in the guide. Dumped H&S with Decrypt9, used Universal Inject Generator to get FBI_inject_with_banner.app and injected it with Decrypt9.

What else can I do to get FBI working?

Sounds like you injected sysnand.

Nah. I made sure it was in the Emunand options. Tried it again a few times. Same results.

With universal inject generator check your Antivirus mine was removing files it needed to inject fbi into h&S I disabled it and it worked fine after

I don't think that's the issue.

When I updated from 4.5 (GW User) to 9.2 using this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update-(rxTools-2.5.2) I had to do the same with Universal Inject Generator and it worked fine then.

The only difference now is I have to do it in emunand instead of sysnand. So I guess something is wrong with my Emunand?

I had a problem with fbi once.

I updated my sister 4.x.0-9U O3ds to
9.2.0-9U using a smash bross original game.

Fbi injection was no injecting. I tried everything possible. Even i updated emunand to last 11.0 didn't work.

So i downgraded my sister o3ds 9.2.0-9U to 4.2 using gateway downgrade

Then i updated 4.2 to 9.2.0-20U using a old method that i knew trough mset exploit


And then tbi injecting works fine. That was onlu way i solved

Some options:
- Downgrade emuNAND to 9.2 then use FBI.3dsx to install FBI.cia
- Investigate using rxTools to inject FBI, I have no idea what's involved, probably downgrading emuNAND, sysNAND, or both.

You should be able to do it with safesysupdater/plaisysupdater. Make a backup of your emuNAND before you start in case anything goes wrong, and you can reinject your backup.

Also make sure your using the latest fbi update when injecting the app, Dump H&S Get the file, use injector, copy the injected file back to sd card, put in system insert injected app to emunand.

Ether that, use a backup emuand, and reinstall it to sd card then try thr process again, maybe the nand was coruppted or the sd card needs formatting.

yeah, use a Gateway and put Devmenu/BBM/something .3ds on your red card, boot it and use it to install a FBI .cia :^)

idk why your H&S isnt working correctly though. I hope you get it fixed.

Had to inject firmware.bin because of "FIRM0 hash mismatch!".

Downgrade went fine, without any errors. Now I get an blackscreen when booting, even without a SD Card. Can't enter safe mode either.

Guess it's bricked.

Regret it, were you not confident it was gonna work? Perhaps you could have asked someone more experienced if that was the case. There is a well written guide about the process of enable homebrew, create emunand, downgrade to 2.1 to get the otp and install the A9HL stuff. If you follow instructions, then it may have woreked, but any of this process is a risk of messing up your console.

I followed the instructions. Problem is, I don't even know what I did wrong.

Is it possible to save this 3ds with a hardmod?
