Can't get cheats to work GPSP (RG300 ipk)!

Hi! I recently downloaded gPSP on my RG300 (V3; latest retrofw). I'm having trouble with cht files (booting/loading them). The games in question are Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission. Both the roms and cht files have the same name (Metroid - Fusion (U).gba
& Metroid - Fusion (U).cht). Any solutions? Thanks in advance!
