Hacking Can't boot into Chainloader

Trying to install B9S onto my N2DS XL but I'm having issues. I've done several systems now but for whatever reason I cannot boot into chainloader on my source device (Old 2ds). Initially, I didn't realize I wasn't on the latest luma so I started running the tutorial while on 7.1. Now, since I can't access godmod9 by pressing start at boot, I'm trying to update my B9S but I still can't boot into chainloader at all. I've even tried adding up_ in front of godmode9.firm but system boots as normal.

Where am I getting hung up at? Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Try moving the boot.firm for Luma 7.1 to your SD card root. I know you already have 7.1, but I've seen that using a fresh boot.firm allows the chainloader to work again.

Haha, you're welcome! For some weird reason, that fixes the issue that some people have when trying to get into the chainloader.
