Hacking Cannot load SX OS with 8.1.0 / brand new Switch

Hello,

I just started the Switch home brew but I have experience with WiiU.

So, my Switch is completly new and I have the 8.1.0 OFW. I'm trying to launch SX OS but don't have any luck so far. Here is what I'm doing :

- U3 32 GB SD Card formatted in FAT32 inserted on the Switch
- boot.dat file (2.8 beta) at the root of the SD Card (nothing else on it by the way)
- Using TegraRCMGUI 2.5 with TegraRcmSmash1.2.1.3
- Successfully booted to RCM (using a cut an iPhone pick used to eject SIM card, works nice !)
- TegraRCMGUI drivers installed on PC
- The Switch is detected by TegraRCMGUI as plugged in RCM mode

Then I simply use TegraRCMGUI and browse for the payload.bin file and select "inject". TegraRCMGUI tells me it successfully injected the payload but nothing happen on the Switch.... it stay with a black screen...

So I really don't know what I've missed here.

Any help would be appreciated !

Check if your Switch is Patched or not.

If it's patched, which if very likely with it being new, you will not be able to load any payloads or cfw for the foreseeable future.

If it's patched you're screwed for now, maybe for a very long time. May want to consider selling it and getting an older switch.

Deja Vu is not going to work on 8 firmwares.

That's fine. I bought it without even knowing homebrew was possible.
