Hi guys, i'm a bit lost with installing XCI converted NSP games on my Switch 7.0.1. I've managed to install a couple of them with Lithium/Tinfoil 1.0 but they popup as "download" in the game section on the home screen.
Games that are already in NSP format and installed are playable, its just the converted ones that i did with 4NXCI are a no go. I read that the problem is with the installers and the sept key implementation. The same games i converted are working perfectly on my other 6.2.0 Switch.

Switch = 7.0.1
Atmosphere 0.8.4 with new sigpatches is running
Hekate 4.8 to boot atmosphere / dumped console info
Lockpick to generate prod.keys
keys.txt is in the tinfoil app

I spend hours searching for a solution but what ive understand is that the installers like Goldleaf/Tinfoil has to be updated in order to implement the sept key derivation is that correct?
My conclusion is the crackstatus on 7.0.1 is completely functional except for installing converted XCI dumps...seems like this right?

What cfw are you running on your 6.2 switch? if it's reinx then that's the problem

atmo/kosmos don't utilise one of the sigpatches reinx does which allows for possible bad conversions

I have both reinx and atmos running on my 6.2 switch. I checked the conversions and they are working on the 6.2.0 with atmosphere 0.8.2

In total i tested 10 conversions and none of them are working on 7.0.1, and all work on 6.2.0. Gonna try Goldleaf 0.5 to see if it brings some magic.

Thnks for your reply.

I tested with goldleaf 0.5 nightly and that works!

I made 2 conversions of 5 games. I used my old 6.2 keyset and the 7.0.1 keyset (that gives me a lot of warnings in 4NXCI but still installs properly on the switch and is playable)
Still have a couple of games that installs but pops up as download. Gonna check those on my other 6.2 switch cause i downloaded them as NSP and not converted myself.

I still have games that are giving me a NCA verification error and cant install on 7.0.1. ultimate smash bros and splatoon 2 for example. Those 2 are working on the 6.2 switch. Lets wait for updated installers : )

dare I mention that I have no issues at all with my SX OS emuNAND on 6.2 and installing with SX Installer (a modified Tinfoil DZ from Blawar)? I haven't tried Lithium yet (again, a modified Tinfoil DZ from Blawar, built for GUI Speed).

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
