Hacking Can the WIi backup loaders run GC games?

you can play gc backups, but you need a cmios and loader and, as far as I know, not all games can be played.

You need to install the latest cMIOS, and use GC Backup Launcher.

question, I dont intend to use this but does the PSX emulator work consistently now?




SO I now installed the latest CMIOS, but what exactly do I do with the GCbackup folder? do I need a different loader for all GC games? and do I need a separate partition on my HDD or do they also work as WBFS?

Well they will only work if you burn them, it will not work on hdd (something to do with the wii locking out all the extras including the usb ports when entering gc mode). And I believe the folder is the loader for the GC games (not too sure however, it has been a while since I played a GC backup) so if I'm right just throw it into the apps folder and use it to load your disk.
As for the psx emulator, dunno haven't kept up with that one.

Well yeah I threw that into ethe apps folder but I canty see the .dol file wich I assume I gotta rename as boot.dol, and buring DVDs is a bummer sinc my burner died recently, but I wanna play Skies of Arcadia so bad

u can also use neogamma to launch GC disc's using a your cMIOS, or an external or internal cMIOS

I prefer using that, so that I load all my backup discs, wii games and gc games, from neogamma

I already have neogama installed as well as the CMIOs, do I need to change anything in the settings?

nope, however you still do have to play the game from a burned disk. usb GC loading is not possible
