As of currently, there has been no progress in playing PSN titles, but it should be soon-enough possible as only just recently we still had to convert the games to PSN packages for us to play them, most likely after all the custom firmware madness has calmed down we will see a lot more developments in the PS3 scene.

You can play PSN titles downloaded off the internet. I have. Joe Danger and Bionic Commando Rearmed to be precise. I'm running kmeaw CFW but they run just fine on 3.55-geohot as well.
