You have to be more precise. Is it possible to connect your switch to a computer or an Android Phone? Yes it is.
Is it possible to connect a USB stick and use it to inject a payload? No, that is not possible.

The other question is, how should this be possible? A simple usb flash drive can't be used as a payload injector.

Well, no, you can't use this with just any common usb stick. But what you can do (i'm doing it this way) is using a usb-c otg adapter(like shown in your pic), a usb-c/microusb cable to your (android)phone and an app called Rekado for basicly the same function as one of those payload injectors would have.

That's a possibility. But with a normal stick, no.
