Hacking Can i update my Wii to the latest firmware? Wiimote problem.

Hey!

My Wii has 3.3E as firmware. But sometimes, like in the systemmenu i think my Wiimote is kind of "skippy". It sorts of hacks. I have this problem in some games too.
I softmodded my friends wii with bannerbomb and the guide found on this forum and he has 4.2E. My wii mote is MUCH smoother in he's system menu. (i used my wiimote on he's system, so the wiimote is OK)


So, here are my question:

Can i upgrade my Wii to the latest firmware, and how do i do it? And what is the risks? Is it worth it?

My setup is as following:
Firmware 3.3E.
Hacked with Twilight hack.
BootMii as boot2
Waninkokos rev 14.
Wiikey 1.9s
I used an older guide that was a sticky on this forum for a couple of month. It downloaded everything online.

So if i got the thing right, i update my wii via nintendo as usual to the latest firmware, then rehack it with the sticky guide in the "Wii-Hacking" Section?
