Gaming Can an Ak2i with Pokemon White connect to WFC when using a 3DS

As the topic states. I'm considering getting a 3DS this weekend, and I know Ak2i with the right updates works on the handheld. I just wanted to make sure that there won't be a problem when connecting with WFC because I would be trading my DSLite in, and doing so would leave me without a backup.

Nintendo WFC works just fine with Pokémon White and the 3DS.
